Hallo! My name is Melanie and I teach German. Maybe you're looking to learn a second language or moving to Germany for work? Whatever your motive, I can help you learn to read, write and speak German. I offer lessons over Skype, in person with one-on-one sessions, or in a small group with other students of a similar level.

I'm from Rendsburg in the north of Germany and love travel, experiencing other cultures, and learning new languages. For over 15 years, I have been teaching German. It gives me great joy to watch students grow in confidence learning the language, and share what I know about German culture. I moved to Scotland in 2013 and have taught at the University of Aberdeen, before moving to Edinburgh where I now teach privately.
