Melanie makes German classes fun and interactive. She manages to incorporate serious tasks such as looking at grammar rules alongside games and other creative activities. I really enjoy being in her class and would recommend it to future students.

I have weekly Skype lessons with Melanie, and it works really really well. She sends me the sheets we will study and I print them off in readiness. I cannot believe how I have come on in just a few months, and it is fantastic value for money considering it is one to one teaching. Melanie makes it such fun, but oh boy she doesn't miss a thing! Not a single dropped umlaut goes unnoticed ha ha. I also attended my first workshop last weekend and thought that was excellent, again lots of laughter and I really learned a lot.

Melanie is everything you could ask from a teacher. She is well-organised, punctual, friendly and encouraging. She always comes to the lessons well prepared and the lessons are structured. As a native German speaker, she can explain commonly used expressions to foreigners, that one could not easily find in a dictionary - and of course her accent and speed in conversation is a big plus if you are looking to improve your conversational German.

I've been meaning to study German properly for many years now and finally got round to it last year. I'm really glad I landed in a class with Melanie as a teacher. She has managed to explain to me some concepts that I've been struggling with for years trying to study by myself. Not helped at all by my terrible grasp of grammar generally! I feel I've made great progress in the months since joining Melanie's class. I've also joined some of her workshops which are a very enjoyable way to learn a bit more in a relaxed setting.
